Elpidio Quirino's Leader of Progress



      Elpidio Quirino, the sixth President of the Philippines, was born on November 16, 1890, in Vigan, Ilocos Sur. Coming from a humble family, he worked hard to earn a law degree from the University of the Philippines in 1915. He started his political career as a congressman, became a senator, and later served as Vice President under Manuel Roxas.


     As president, Quirino focused on improving the country's economy and the lives of the poor. He helped create the Central Bank of the Philippines and started programs to provide homes and land to those in need. His leadership left a lasting mark on the nation’s progress and development. Quirino’s life is a testament to how determination and service can bring about change.
