Vigan Cityhood: Vigan as a Municipality, Then as a City, and Now

Vigan's recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site further cemented its status as a cultural treasure, not just for the Philippines but for the world. 

    Today, Vigan stands as a vibrant city that seamlessly blends its historical roots with modern advancements. While it has embraced progress, it remains dedicated to preserving its heritage. The city’s leadership and community continue to work together to ensure that Vigan remains a symbol of Filipino pride and identity. Vigan is now a hub of cultural events, education, and tourism.
